Design, Branding & Print Work
For several clients I’ve created complete visual identity schemes. From logo design through to integrated, coordinated brand styling that operates across a range of business communication collateral such as business cards, stationery, brochures, leaflets, email signatures, clothing, signage, banner stands & large format graphics, vehicle graphics, as well as, of course, the company’s web site.
Previous projects have included assisting new start-ups to define and articulate their brand identity, as well as updating, refreshing and extending the branding profile of established businesses. As with the web sites that I create this will often incorporate original photography, shot as part of the development.
Understanding your market
Branding and corporate identity development is always founded upon a thorough assessment of your company’s market situation, gaining insight into your strategic marketing objectives, and then creating a distinctive visual identity to enable clear recognition and market presence, and of course delivering compelling communication with your customers.
You also benefit from my experience as a capable business copy writer who can help you to develop your message and refine your written business communication.
Client branding design portfolio
Examples of the diverse branding and design work I’ve produced for some of my clients. In addition to layout and print work this includes exhibition display stands and signage.
Original logo designs created for both new start-ups and the rebranding of established businesses.
Harvey Fit-out Contractors (Bristol)
Creation of a comprehensive corporate identity scheme to refresh the branding of this national retail fit-out and construction contractor, including a new logo design, company stationery and document styling, company brochure, together with branded work clothing and vehicle livery, in addition to production of the company’s web site.
After creating a distinctive web site for this new industrial pump engineering company they called on me to produce branded materials for a national trade show. Against a tight deadline I designed a compact trifold leaflet together with a triptych of roller banner stands to define their exhibition stand space. These designs had to proceed from some already-established branding elements and interpret them into different mediums.
Cleracres Cattery (Bristol)
Facing a changing market with new-entry competitors, this Bristol cattery felt it was time for a more contemporary look. This entailed the creation of a new web site, a fresh logo and identity scheme, plus a new building fascia and site signage. With an on-site clinic run in partnership with a local vet group the brief also required incorporating their branding into the fascia; this too required original design work.
Old Bell Hotel history book
Illustrated history guide book. This project comprised shooting much original photography of this historic hotel and the town of Malmesbury, together with design of the 20-page book layout. Project included overseeing through to final print production of 5000 copies.
